This is my first time I am going to Kuala Lumpur from Singapore. Can anyone tell me what all things I can do there? Also, tell me the best way to reach the city.

Once in Kuala Lumpur, don’t miss Petronas Tower, Chinatown Locality, Batu Caves, Sunway Lagoon Theme Park, Jalan Alor, Central Market, etc. There are many places to see and visit once you are there in Kuala Lumpur. Regarding traveling, I’d suggest taking a bus. There are many bus operators such as Starmart Express, Perdana Express, WTS Travel & Tours, etc. They are affordable, reliable and comfortable.

Thanks!

Hi foodie coming through,

You have to explore the food culture in KL. Lots of trendy restaurants and cafes here, if you want a trendy instagrammable cage, go to Merchant's lane near Petaling Street, their decor there is fantastic. I love to go to LOKL at Jalan Tun H.S. Lee for weekend brunch with my friends (their southern chicken and waffles are to die for seriously). But if you want some Malaysian food, Madam Kwan's in Suria KLCC serves a great variety of our dishes (Nasi Bojari there is a must!), and you should definitely try the Assam Laksa and Char Kway Teow at Little Penang, also in Suria KLCC.

For more of the everyday Malaysian food culture, go to Jalan Alor in Bukit Bintang, that's where you'd get all the hawkerstall food (Good food for cheaper price, very hot tho)

If you're travelling by bus, generally, your alighting point will be at either KL Sentral (central station), Terminal Bersepadu Selatan (express bus station connecting to the BTS interchange rail station), or the Berjaya Times Square shopping complex. Finding mode of transport to the city and even the outskirts from those places is easy.

Going for luxury and glam, you should take the LRT Kelana Jaya line to KLCC shopping complex. The train stops in the mall's subway. Or you could opt for a New York-like walkway across Berjaya Times Square and down Sungei Wang Plaza leading to Pavilion Kuala Lumpur. You can also get there via the monorail (stopping at Imbi or Bukit Bintang station) or MRT (Bukit Bintang station) rail system.

Petaling Street is probably a good start to get a taste of local food. And just outside NU Sentral mall adjacent to KL Sentral station, is Brickfield's Little India for indian cuisine. You can also get simple and affordable mix rice from any of the nearby chinese restaurants (note that they sell non-halal food).

Hope you have a great time! :D
